Prior Events and Writings2003 March Began work. Finally. I was getting concerned. 2002 September Pretty busy month. I went to the University of Regina in Canada, on Sept 11, to present my thesis research. The area around Regina is very flat. It was scrapped by glaciers. We drove to Fort Qu'Appelle. Which had a beautiful lake and some nice little hills. Good trip. Lee Ann went with me. Then on Sept 18, I went with her to Denver, Co. She went to conference sessions while I did things. We went to a Don Williams concert. Then we went to Rocky Mountain National Park. The elk were out and about. It was the beginning of mating season so they were out doing their thing. We've got good pictures. I just need to get them on the website. My sister and her family visited. We went to Kiptopeke. They were banding birds like they do every year in September. We saw several birds. My nephew Herbie released a Sharp Shinned Hawk. I've got good pictures of him holding it in his hand. We also went on a Dolphin viewing trip. That was very cool. At one point a dolphinwas swimming beside the boat just underneath of the surface. Pics of the dolphins too. August Not too much happening. I went to my high school reunion Aug 10. It was a pretty good time. Classes started back. I found out that I get to go to Canada to present the work that I've been doing with Dr. Doughty. July Went back home for the 4th of July. Uneventful month so far. I have exam at the end. Had the second test for Comms I. June My parents and her sister come to stay during the month. May Went home for memorial day. April Lee Ann and I went to Assateague and camped Friday and Sat. night. It was a good weekend. It was chilly at night. We saw the ponies and lots of the stuff that they leave behind. Classes end soon and I have exams May 1 and 2. 2001 July - The biggest thing that's happend this year is that I've moved to Newport News to attend Christopher Newport University. I'm working on a M.S. in Applied Physics and C.S. emphasis on CS. I should finish Dec. 2002. I'm on assistantship too, which means no tuition payment and money. I've been camping with Lee Ann some. We camped at Kiptopeke State park on the Eastern Shore in Sept. which was very nice. We also stayed at the the Breaks Interstate Park. November - Clifford, my little brother, gets married. I didn't get to see this happen. (Ahh the impatience of youth). I was a groomsman in Eric and Susan Craft's wedding. Lee Ann gets a job offer at Clark Nexsen. I asked Lee Ann to marry me the day before Thanksgiving. She said yes. We're getting married on Dec 22. This will be the biggest event of my life to date. It makes moving look like nothing. :) December - I finished exams the 5th. I ended up with a GPA of 3.7. This month has been mainly trying to get settled and buying things that we need. Lee Ann started her job Dec 10th. I've been working with Java Analysis Studio, Java, XML, etc learning how to do analysis on the Hall D simulation stuff. I got married. WOW!! The wedding was Dec 22. Best thing that has happened yet. Christmas was busy. Came home on the 25 because she had work. Went to Ocracoke on the the Dec 30 - 31. We have pics. Stopped in Kitty Hawk at the Wright Brothers Memorial first. We then worked our way down to Hatteras and Ocracoke. 2000 1999 |
