These are some pictures of the whale watching trip that Lee Ann and I took on Jan 26, 2002. The trip was done through the VMSM The whale is a juvenile humpback. The birds circle the whale because it forces fish up with the use of a bubble net that it makes. The birds swoop in and eat the fish forced to the top.

We saw it just off of Cape Henry I believe. The whale came into water just 14ft deep.
